La relazione tratterà l’argomento dei piani di fortificazione e delle opere permanenti che furono costruite dall’Italia dalla 3ª guerra d’indipendenza allo scoppio della 2ª guerra mondiale al confine est. Dopo una breve analisi del territorio di confine, si passa ad analizzare il ruolo che i forti italiani ebbero durante la 1ª guerra mondiale.
Nel primo dopoguerra, con la ridefinizione dei confini, la zona del Friuli Venezia Giulia fu interessata dalla pianificazione bellica verso la Jugoslavia. Si tratterà dell’evoluzione della fortificazione permanente in quel periodo, gli studi teorici, per poi passare all’analisi di quello che fu costruito fino al 1939 e dei piani di guerra.
The report deals with fortification plans and the permanent works, that were built by Italy from the 3rd War of Independence to the outbreak of the 2nd World War. After a brief analysis of the border area, it explains the role of the Italian border fortifications during the 1st World War.
In the 1st postwar period, with the redefinition of the frontiers, the area of Friuli Venezia Giulia was affected by the war planning towards Yugoslavia. The report also deals with the evolution of the permanent fortification at that time and theoretical studies, in order to explain what was built until 1939 and the war plans.
